Alexandria is the dream of Alexander the great, the pearl of Caesar’s crown, the throne of Cleopatra, and the pearl of the Mediterranean. Alexander named it after himself, when he stood by its beautiful shores, its unique location, and spoke his famous words:

In 332 B.C., his dream became a reality by his architect Deinocrates who planned the new city by joining Pharos Island with Rhakotis coast to create this masterpiece, which was considered Alexander’s gift to the world

Alexandria lies on the 31-north latitude. It enjoys a unique geographical location on the Mediterranean at the juncture of Africa, Asia, and Europe. It's bounded on the north by the Mediterranean, on the south by Marriott Lake on the east by Abu Qeir gulf, and on the west by Sidi Kreir. Its coast stretches over 70 km.

Tourism industry in Alexandria is reviving a deep rooted past where Alexandria was the hub of eastwest commerce, achieving a present that possesses all tourism industry evaluators, and orienting a future where tourist development, environmental and construction progress and tourist investment are essential posts for tourism future and tourism promotion.
